WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE FOR THE 2007 LOW VOLUME ROADS WORKSHOP
With the current focus on major capital projects it is still necessary to remind ourselves of the science and engineering necessary to manage our roads that carry less traffic. Engineers and managers across the country grapple constantly with the problems of doing more with less. NZ has a host of dedicated engineers who grapple daily with problems like the use of marginal materials to affect cost effective solutions, high seasonal fluctuations in traffic and pavement load, the introduction of new technology, addressing age old unsealed road maintenance and drainage management issues or finding solutions to safety problems on remote sections of road. It is important that these people have the opportunity to learn off each other and exchange stories and experiences. We therefore believe that a workshop focused on these issues is critical and as a result the REAAA is once again proud to present the Low Volume Roads Workshop.
